Books for Soldiers

This past holiday season, Novel Ideas Bookstore in Baileys Harbor sponsored a Books for Soldiers drive, which they deemed a fantastic success.

Throughout the month of December people were very generous with their donations, and the bookstore received between four and five hundred books to ship out to soldiers. Not only did the store get hundreds of great paperbacks, but they also collected many hard covers in perfect condition, as well as over $200 for further use on books and to cover the expense of postage.

Pat and Michelle Palmer, proprietors of Novel Ideas Bookstore, could not believe how much everyone in the community generously supported their book drive, and they would like to express their sincere thanks to those that helped make the drive a success. Also, they would like to remind everyone that Novel Ideas will be continuing to collect books for soldiers throughout the year, not just around the holidays.
