Bordui Foundation Names Scholarship Winners

Carmen Stearn and Will Kitchens, seniors at Sturgeon Bay High School, have been named winners of the 2013 Bordui Foundation scholarship competition. Each will be awarded $12,000 toward their university attendance. Kitchens plans to attend Yale University while Stearn will attend the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

The winners were chosen from a group of 10 applicants by the Foundation’s trustees following consideration of grade point average, test scores, an essay submission, an interview and input from the school’s faculty scholarship committee.

The Bordui Foundation is a charitable foundation established by Peter Bordui, a 1978 graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School, who also serves as a trustee. The other trustees are his wife, Marie Bordui-Gilson, and John Hauser, Senior Vice President at Baylake Bank in Sturgeon Bay.
