Braden Sitte Named to WFCA All-State Team

Gibraltar’s Braden Sitte has been named to the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) 2023 All-State Team as a wide receiver in eight-player football.

The 6-3, 185-pound senior also made the All-Peninsula Conference first team as an offensive end, defensive back and placekicker as part of the Vikings’ team that tied for second in the conference and qualified for the WIAA’s eight-player football playoffs for the second year in a row.

Two Door County players received honorable mention from the WFCA among the state’s 11-player small schools. They include Sturgeon Bay senior quarterback Danny Lodl and Southern Door senior linebacker Will Jandrin.

Both players were also named to the All-Packerland Conference first team at their respective positions, with Jandrin selected the league’s Defensive Player of the Year.

Lodl passed for 2,383 yards and 26 touchdowns in 10 games this season as part of the Clippers’ team that finished fourth in the Packerland and qualified for the WIAA playoffs for the second year in a row.

Jandrin made 132 total tackles in 11 games with the Eagles finishing runner-up in the conference and advancing to the second level of the WIAA playoffs in Division 5.
