Brats Build Homes for Birds

The Open Door Bird Sanctuary will host a brat fry on July 4 & 6, from 9 am to 5 pm, at the BP gas station – Welsing’s Foodland – on Highway 57 in Valmy. Proceeds will go toward the Bird Care Center (BCC), which will be built this summer if money permits. This past winter was a stark reminder of the conditions wildlife can face. The BCC is a simple and cost-efficient solution that allows us to provide safe indoor housing for resident birds and can augment educational programming with additional birds.
