Bread and Booyah Lunch at Belgian Heritage Center

A Bread and Booyah lunch will be served at the Belgian Heritage Center (BHC) on June 26, 11 am – 1 pm. Booyah – a hearty soup typically cooked in outdoor kettles – is a traditional dish and a mainstay at gatherings in the Belgian settlement area.
A bonus for attendees at this year’s event will be the premiere screening of the new documentary The History of Belgian Booyah, which will be shown continuously at the schoolhouse on the BHC campus during the event and at the BHC, 1255 Cty DK in Brussels, at 1 pm.T
he menu will include the BHC’s famous booyah, bread, desserts and a beverage for $12 per adult, $8 for children 4-12, and free for children 3 and younger. Takeout booyah will be sold outside for $10 per quart starting at 12 pm.
