Bridenhagen Tree and Landscape Provides Tree for DCA

The Bridenhagen Tree and Landscape crew – Spencer and Sawyer Johnson, and Christine and Ivan Bridenhagen – delivered a gorgeous evergreen tree to the Door Community Auditorium (DCA) on Nov. 25 in advance of the Nov. 30 Giving Thanks concert featuring Katie Dahl, Eric Lewis and the Birds of Chicago’s newest collaboration, Capitol Sun Rays.

This is the first year when Keith Bridenhagen, who died July 23, wasn’t part of the special delivery. The Bridenhagen family and team have donated a tree to the DCA, 3926 Hwy 42 in Fish Creek, every year since it opened in 1991. During the visit, Christine Bridenhagen explained that Keith had selected a different species of tree for each of the first 15 years. She and her son, Ivan, both remembered how giving back to his community was one of Keith’s favorite things to do.

The DCA is also a Toys for Tots drop-off location.
