Bridget Austin and Jack Anderson Together at Cottage Row

Watercolorists Bridget Austin and Jack Anderson will be the featured artists at Cottage Row Gallery, July 16-30. The special show will begin with a “meet the artists” reception July 16, 10 am-1 pm, light refreshments will be served.

Austin has been painting her impressions of nature in watercolor for more than 35 years. Her fresh style, use of white paper, negative painting, and lively color make her paintings a popular addition to many public and private collections. She has a Signature Membership in the Wisconsin Watercolor Society and Master Status in the Transparent Watercolor Society of America. Recently she received the honor of being named the Door County Art League’s Master Artist for 2015. Bridget has also taught watercolor workshops at Peninsula School of Art and The Clearing.

Anderson has both a B.S. and M.S. degree in art education from Northern Illinois University and taught for 18 years in the Crystal Lake, Illinois area. He became a full-time painter in 1977 when he moved to Door County and opened the Jack Anderson Gallery in Sister Bay, where he successfully exhibited and sold his work as well as that of many other artists for more than 30 years. His watercolors have always focused on the unique look and incredible beauty of Door County.
