Bring Creativity to the Kids

The Exposure to Creativity program has taken about five to six months to put together, and today at Gibraltar Schools there are 9 workshops going on, two will take place in Surgeon Bay, and altogether there are 15 different workshops.

“This is a great way for the children to explore new creativity,” says Vinni Chomoeau, Coordinator for the Friends of Gibraltar. Chomoeau has put a workshop day together for the last four years, and she gives all the credit to The Hardy Gallery, as it takes a lot of time and effort towards this workshop.

Elizabeth Meissner-Gigstead is the Executive Director of The Hardy Gallery, and she works with the society part of the workshop. Meissner-Gigstead makes a lot of the phone calls and emails all the volunteers about the workshop.

“We want it to be good for the students, so we’re looking at the students’ interests,” says Meissner-Gigstead. It’s a way for the students to connect to the communities.

The Hardy Gallery only does these workshops with Gibraltar school because of the resources of volunteers that are around.
