Bringing Back the Excitement

Cavern Beat, one of America’s most distinctive Beatles tribute bands, will take the stage to open Ministry Door County Medical Center’s “Celebrate Community” Concert Series on July 7 at 7 pm. Cavern Beat is often compared to the jukebox for sounding so much like the real thing.

Performing the music of The Beatles true to their records, every performance is as outstanding as the next, with vintage instruments, amplifiers and authentic suits in the famous Fab Four style for full effect.

It is the band’s mission to replicate and bring back to life the excitement of the original recordings and live performances from the Cavern Club era onwards. Critics over the world have agreed that the group has the sound, energy and excitement of The Beatles, second to none.

Dorothy Scott will open the show with special guest Isaiah Spetz from “LEAP – The Human Kindness Project.” Scott’s diverse proto-folk might echo such seemingly incompatible artists as Kate Bush, Ani DiFranco and Richard Thompson, but the New York City/Door County-based singer/songwriter wisely chooses to avoid living in those shadows. Her complex harmonies and aggressively fluid guitar playing will add another highlight to the show.

All concerts are free of charge. In case of rain all concerts will be held upstairs at the Door County Fire Company, 38 S. 3rd Avenue, Sturgeon Bay. For more information about the “Celebrate Community” Concert Series, call 920.493.5979.
