Bronze Casting Class at Algoma Atelier of Sculpture and Art

Among Bren Sibilsky’s many projects at The Algoma Atelier of Sculpture and Art (her newly remodeled teaching facility) is a “lost wax” bronze casting class with professional instructors Ken and Mary Davidson.

Students will create an original wax sculpture, make their own ceramic shell mold and pour
the molten bronze into the mold. The class is open to all skill levels, and all foundry tools and equipment will be provided.

The class will be held Sept. 9 – 14 with the onsite bronze pour on Sept. 13. There is a nine-student limit, and reservations are required.

The Davidsons are world-class sculptors and teachers, with numerous bronze commissions throughout the United States and years of teaching experience.

Sibilsky will also teach The Portrait in Clay (June 13 – 15) and The Figure in Clay (Sept. 5 – 7) at the Peninsula School of Art, located at 3900 County F in Fish Creek. For more information visit brensculpture.com or call 920.487.4200.
