Bruemmer Park Zoo Receives Grant for Environmental Education Center

The centerpiece of a major makeover at Bruemmer Park Zoo is closer to becoming a reality with a grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation

The Zoological Society of Kewaunee County accepted a $7,000 grant Dec. 4 at Lambeau Field to go toward constructing an environmental education center and pheasant exhibit, part of the zoo’s master plan.

“The grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation is the start of a cooperative effort to find more funds to support the expansion of Bruemmer Park Zoo,” said Dave Myers, Kewaunee County promotions and recreation director. “It has been exciting to watch the zoo evolve with the upgrades that we have completed and are planning to do.”The total price tag of the zoo’s master plan is estimated at $1.5 million. Most recently, work was finished on a new deer and goat shelter. To help with zoo improvements, visit bruemmerparkzoo.com.
