Door Community Auditorium (DCA) will pay tribute to one of America’s best songwriters Oct. 9 and 10, 7 pm, when it presents Buckets of Rain: The Songs of Bob Dylan.
Memphis multi-instrumentalist Eric Lewis, California-based string player Chris Irwin, local folk crooners Katie Dahl and Jeanne Kuhns, and bassist-percussionists Rich Higdon and Patrick Palmer will all perform, dipping into the well of Dylan’s work and sharing fresh versions of his classic songs.
“With only a couple exceptions, we’ve performed Buckets of Rain almost every year since 2011, when Bob Dylan was turning 70,” Dahl said. “This year, he’s turning 80, and I think I speak for the whole band when I say we’re having more fun than ever playing his songs.”
Face masks are required, regardless of vaccination status. Purchase tickets ($30) online at dcauditorium.org, by phone at 920.868.2728, or in person at DCA, 3926 Hwy 42 in Fish Creek.
