Building upon Words: Write On’s Groundbreaking for Writing Center

On July 7, community members came together to help Write On, Door County usher in a new phase of its existence: building a new writing center. Rather than participating in a traditional groundbreaking, those in attendance wrote words of encouragement and inspiration on stones and created a stone wall on the property.

The new writing center will be located on 34 acres across the street from Write On’s current home at 4177 Juddville Road. The center will include a writers’ library and classroom, as well as open space for classes, gatherings, readings and other events. To learn more, visit writeondoorcounty.org.
