Just after Aldo Leopold Weekend, which is celebrated the first weekend in March each year, Habitat for Humanity’s construction volunteers have built another collection of Leopold benches. Famed conservationist and ecologist Aldo Leopold built a simple bench on which to sit and enjoy the natural wilderness. The Aldo Leopold bench has become popular due to its unique universal style. This will be Habitat’s third annual Leopold bench build. Habitat for Humanity is taking orders for these benches, which cost $65.
