Last week’s trivia question:

What year was the last year the PGA Championship was held at Whistling Straits? And for extra credit who was the champion?

Answer: 2004 and the champion was Vijay Singh

Winner: Michael Steel, Fish Creek

2004 was the most recent and the first year the PGA Championship was held at Whistling Straits. This week’s trivia winner, Michael Steel, reminded that the news of the day was not necessarily that Vijay Singh won the championship, but that Justin Leonard lost it. Leonard had a two-stroke lead with five to play, when a couple putting mishaps cost him the lead. With the only birdie on the first play-off hole, Singh won the three-way play-off between Leonard and Chris DiMarco.
