Call for Art for PenArt’s ‘Art at Studio 54’ Exhibit

A 1970s disco theme underscores the exhibition Art at Studio 54, to be held Jan. 7-14 at Peninsula School of Art, 3900 County Road F, Fish Creek. All artists of any media and every skill level are invited to submit both 2D and 3D work up to the size of a vintage vinyl album cover (12” x 12”) on Jan. 5 & 6, 9 am – 4 pm only. The size requirement must include any framing or display materials.

A single entry fee of $25 entitles an artist to submit up to three pieces. The fee also provides entry to the School’s Disco Ball on Jan. 14, 6-9pm. Adults not participating in the exhibition may attend the Ball by purchasing a $15 ticket.

Art at Studio 54 artists will be awarded cash prizes. The First Place award is $150. Second Place is awarded $100 and Third Place receives $50. Best Costume and Art Team events and awards, along with lively entertainment, favorite finger foods and cocktails of the 1970s add to the excitement of the happenings.

Art created for Art at Studio 54 need not follow the theme of ‘70s disco. Additional information regarding the Disco Ball and its art teams will be released in the upcoming weeks. For more information visit peninsulaschoolofart.org.
