Call for Artists for The Hardy’s Fall Show

The Hardy Gallery invites artists and craftspeople of Door County and throughout Wisconsin to submit images of their work for the Hardy Gallery’s final exhibit of the 2016 season, Form Follows Function: The Intersection of Art and Craft. The exhibit will focus on the principles associated with the Bauhaus School movement, which promoted simplicity of form based on functionality. The Hardy is looking for art that challenges the traditional distinction between fine art and craft; work created in media traditionally associated as “crafts,” including: woodworking, textiles, ceramics, art metal/jewelry, papermaking/topography/bookmaking and other media that reflect this philosophy.

Work entered must be original and completed within the last five years. There are no size restrictions. The submission and selection processes will be done online; all online submissions can be made between now and May 1.

A prospectus for the exhibit can be found on the Hardy’s website, thehardy.org, or call/email the office at 920.854.2210 or [email protected] for more information.
