Call for Fire and Ice Carvers

Attention, novice and professional ice carvers! Destination Sturgeon Bay invites ice and snow carvers to participate in the city’s Fire & Ice event, presented by Stone Harbor. All beginner, intermediate and advanced carvers – individuals and teams of all ages – are encouraged to enter the 2023 carving competition Feb. 18, 9 am – 2 pm. 

Participating carvers will receive a goodie bag filled with coupons and items to use throughout the day. Then a panel of volunteers will judge the carvings and award first, second and third place in each experience level. 

Basic power tools such as hair dryers, heat guns and drills may be used, and hand carving tools are available from Destination Sturgeon Bay for a $10 refundable deposit. Anyone younger than 18 must have parental supervision. 

To participate, complete the Ice Carver Application at SturgeonBay.net and return it by Feb. 2 in person to Destination Sturgeon Bay at 36 S. 3rd Ave. or email it to [email protected].
