Calling All Wisconsin Filmmakers

Are you or is someone you know a filmmaker with a Wisconsin connection, or a filmmaker connected to a film that has a Wisconsin connection, or a filmmaker who is familiar with what a cheese curd is? Well, submissions for the 2015 Wisconsin Film Festival’s Wisconsin’s Own section are being accepted. Deadlines are as follows: Dec. 1 for non-student entries of any length and Dec. 31 for student entries of any length.

The Festival welcomes narrative, documentary, experimental, and animated films or videos of any length in two categories: Wisconsin’s Own and Wisconsin’s Own Student. Films must have a Wisconsin connection.

Wisconsin’s Own is a category for a film of any length from filmmakers with a Wisconsin connection. Wisconsin’s Own Student is for films of any length from student filmmakers with a Wisconsin connection. A “Wisconsin connection” means that either the film was shot primarily or significantly (at least one-third) on location in Wisconsin, and/or one or more of the film’s principal creative personnel are a Wisconsin native, current/former resident, or student/alumnus.

The intention for these festival categories is to celebrate films that reflect the creative spirit of our state. For complete submission information visit wifilmfest.org/entry/guidelines2015.php.
