Can You Survive It?

A young golfer in the 2014 Frostbite Open. Submitted photo.

You may be a great mini golfer in August, but how well do you do in January? Test your skills against the snow (if there’s any) and cold in the fifth annual Red Putter Frostbite Open at 2 pm on New Year’s Day.

This is an open tournament, so anyone can play and there’s no need to qualify. Two rounds of golf will be played. Golfers can register and practice between 10 am and 1:45 pm, play begins at 2 pm. Hot drinks and chili will be served to warm everyone up. The cost is $25 to enter.

Of course there are excellent prizes to play for, such as: $700, first place; $200, second place; $100, third place; $100, best single game; and trophies for all who place. Also, everyone who completes both rounds will receive a bumper sticker that says, “I survived the Frostbite Open!”
