The League of Women Voters of Door and Kewaunee Counties are sponsoring a Candidate Forum for the September 9 primary election to acquaint the public with candidates for Wisconsin State Assembly and their positions on issues of importance to the voters.
This forum is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, in the Sturgeon Bay City Hall – first floor, 421 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay. The forum will run from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
The forum is not a debate. It is an opportunity for the public to ask questions, written anonymously of the candidates, and to come away better informed to vote intelligently on the primary election day. The League has used this format successfully at the local, state and national levels.
The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization of men and women. They promote informed and active involvement of citizens in government and encourage qualified citizens to run for office. The League does not endorse any one candidate or party.
