Candlelight Ski/Hike/Snowshoe at Peninsula State Park Feb. 1

Peninsula State Park will host a candlelight ski/hike/snowshoe event on Feb. 1, 5:30-8 pm, when skiers, hikers and snowshoers may head out on a one-mile candlelit trail and enjoy a bonfire with refreshments at the end. Participants may wish to take a small flashlight or headlamp. Pets are not allowed.

Enter at Highland Road. The event is free, but a Wisconsin State Park vehicle-admission sticker is required. Purchase one at the park’s headquarters, the new electronic kiosk at Eagle Terrace, or the self-registration station on the day of the event. A trail pass is not required. 

The event will take place even without snow, but it will be canceled because of severe weather. Access may be restricted if parking capacity is reached. To check the status on the day of the event, call the park office at 920.868.3258.
