Carolyn Carter Performs at Horseshoe Bay Farm

Horseshoe Bay Farm will host folk singer/songwriter Carolyn Carter in a one-night concert on Oct. 12 at 6:30 pm.
This unique barn is a perfect fit for the genre of music that Carter writes and performs. She hails from Stone County, Arkansas, a place tucked away from tourist areas like Branson, Missouri, that has a rich “folk culture” in art, music, and craftsmanship.
In warmer weather Carter can be found performing her traditional Ozark music at the Folk Center, at local festivals or benefits in the Mt. View area – “Folk-Bluegrass Capital of the World.”
Carter’s shares her culture through a blend of singing and playing folk/ballad/gospel music as well as some storytelling; her performances are reminiscent of the days when Mary Traverse, Joni Mitchell, Emmylou Harris or James Taylor would show up at a coffeehouse or smaller club.
Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. Doors open at 6 pm and music begins at 6:30 pm. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating and comfort. Horseshoe Bay Farm is located on Highway G in Egg Harbor. Free parking is located next to the barn.
