Catch the Reading Bug

On Wednesday, August 20 from 10:30 am – 4 pm the “Catch the Reading Bug Summer Program” at the Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Library will hold its first, end-of-season, very special event!

The Reading Bug Carnival will celebrate the fantastic participation of the children who have been reading to earn Library Loot and for the Choose Your Own Adventure program, as well as attending programs, workshops, crafts and storytime all summer long.

The main attraction at the carnival will be a 55-foot “Bouncer” called the “Kiddie-Pillar.” Children will be able to climb into and around the oversize bug and have a wonderful time!

Also, the Northern Door Storytellers Guild will be on hand from 11:30 am –12:15 pm and from 2 – 2:45 pm, and they will offer an array of entertaining and unique stories and music. There will be games, prizes, refreshments and crafts, so mark your calendar because you won’t want to miss the fun!
