Run For A Cause Aims for Biggest Year Yet
The organizers of the Door County Half Marathon are getting greedy…for Door County charities. After helping runners use the race to raise $50,000 for charity during the last four years, the organizers aim to raise $25,000 in 2014.

Ashley Lusk of Homebody Personal Training will host a weekly running group beginning Jan. 9, every Wednesday morning at 9 am. This group will be suited for new runners who want to get into shape or train for a race.

Dear Mary Pat, As my siblings and I grow, marry, and have children the Christmas shopping lists are getting longer and longer. My budget is tight this year, but all my siblings have sent Christmas lists for their husbands, wives, and children – clothes, toys, books, jewelry! I’m overwhelmed.

“The Big Lebowski” Screening and Costume Contests at Sister Bay Bowl
Calling all “achievers!” Come watch the best bowling movie ever. The Big Lebowski will be shown Dec. 21 at the Sister Bay Bowl. Dinner will be served at 6:30 pm and the movie begins at 8 pm.

The annual Crossroads lecture “Greeting Card Birds” is scheduled for Dec. 24 at 2 pm. The lecture features the birds depicted on the greeting cards that the naturalist receives in 2013.
