Cats Capture the Weekend Spotlight

Figaro

Today, Saturday and Sunday, more than 100 beautiful, healthy cats at the Door County Humane Society (DCHS) are in the spotlight in Sturgeon Bay and Ashwaubenon and ready for adoption.

PetSmart, the DCHS satellite facility in Green Bay, is going to be a whirlwind of love and discovery for the weekend. There will be dozens of worthy cats, extra staff to help speed the adoption reference checks and special deals on cat supplies needed in a new home.

Mirroring that activity 40 miles north at DCHS, more than 60 cats of all colors, ages, genders and a range of personalities are prepping for their close-ups. A green-eyed kitten that dashes from one adventure to the next? An adolescent tortoiseshell that likes to climb the cat tree and keep an eye on everyone? An older cat, declawed, who already has “home experience?” They’re all here. There is a surfeit of cats, each with a winning characteristic. An adopter may spot it right away, or see a delightful quirk emerge after the new pet has the reassurance of a forever home.

Osage

Because cats do magnificently when adopted as a pair, the two-for-one adoption special fee of $90 applies.

All animals are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Adopters receive 30 days of pet insurance for free, and may continue it on their own.

DCHS dogs would love to meet new friends this weekend in Sturgeon Bay as well. To see their photos and profiles, visit dooranimals.com.
