Cedar Court Inn Remodel Ideal for Social Distancing

Door County visitors who are adhering to Wisconsin’s coronavirus safety guidelines will find fresh, clean, completely remodeled interiors at Fish Creek’s Cedar Court Inn, plus abundant green space and a spacious pool patio that’s ideal for social distancing.

First-year owners Matt and Susie Cottick purchased the historic lodging property in April 2019.

“Our renovated rooms will bring increased peace of mind for cautious travelers as they begin to venture out,” Matt said. “Visitors can truly relax during their Cedar Court vacation, knowing their motel rooms are essentially brand new.”

The couple replaced all carpet flooring with new luxury vinyl; purchased all new furniture, bedding, towels and window treatments; and installed new lighting, bathroom vanities and toilets. Rooms are decorated with locally crafted barnwood doors and accented walls. Besides Cedar Court’s classic motel rooms, it also includes 10 specialty rooms, five suites and a 6,000-square-foot courtyard and outdoor pool with a 1,500-square-foot deck.

Cedar Court is also committed to pursuing Travel Green Wisconsin business certification. Last year it launched a new Green Stay program to save water, electricity and cleaning time. The program rewards guests who skip housekeeping services with gift cards to local businesses.
