The Folk Art Christmas collection of artisan-made objects, cards, and candies will return for its 10th season Nov. 26 and 27. The show will take place at 6052 Lake Shore Road in Jacksonport on Friday from 6 – 9 pm and Saturday from 10 am – 3 pm.
Held in the cottage home of Jeanne Whildin, visitors have a unique opportunity to see items in a home setting, as well as a chance to talk to artists on site.
The sale will feature miniature paintings by Barbara Kenyon, sweet treats and wearable and decorative art by Sally Everhardus, and Jeanne Whilden’s famous whimsical carvings, along with her collages and assemblages – all in a 6” x 6” format.
Cathy Franke will feature her gold and silver necklaces and bracelets while her husband David Franke will feature work that is emotionally evocative and non-representational. Barbara and Doug Henderson will show their colorful fused glass decorative ornaments and beautiful, functional pieces.
The show will also feature warm winter mittens of all sizes by Kirsten Sandin, sculptured Christmas trees and ornaments by Mary Anderson, botanical holiday and greeting cards by Mary Gehm, and jewelry by Pauline Leist.
