Celebrate Baileys Harbor on May 16

The Baileys Harbor Community Association will kick off its celebration of 160 years of history and growth within the community on May 16. The public is invited to participate in a variety of events throughout the day to help “Celebrate Baileys Harbor.”

As part of the festivities, arts and crafts will be on display on the front lawn of the Town Hall throughout the day, while inside the historic building the Taste of Baileys Harbor will take place from 11 am – 3 pm. Everyone is invited to enjoy goodies from area restaurants and help raise money for the Door County Humane Society. An entry fee of $10 for adults, $5 for children is required for the Taste of Baileys Harbor.

Other activities throughout the day include the annual Door County Scottie Parade at 11 am along County Road F, as well as a number of unique opportunities at The Ridges Sanctuary. The Ridges Sanctuary will open the Baileys Harbor Rangelights to the public from 9 am – 4 pm and offer naturalist-guided hikes throughout the facility at 9:30 am and 1:30 pm. Cost for the guided hikes is $7 per person, with no charge for children under 18.

In the evening, join in for a party at Maxwelton Braes to help raise money for restoration of the 140-year-old Rangelight buildings. There is no entry fee required to hear the DJ.
