Ecology Sports is hosting a free Bastille Day celebration to benefit River Alliance of Wisconsin (RAW) in the courtyard behind the store July 14, 4-8 pm. It will feature live music by Lynn Gunderson and David Hatch, freshly made crêpes, beer, wine, food and drink available for purchase, late shopping at Ecology and its courtyard shops, and the chance to talk to a RAW representative about the organization’s environmental programs.
An original pastel painting created onsite by local artist Kay McKinley will be auctioned during the celebration. Proceeds from the event and the painting sale will be donated to RAW.
This is the fourth year when Ecology is sponsoring the benefit on the national French holiday that marks the beginning of the French Revolution – a special holiday for store co-owners Alicia and Joel Kersebet because Joel hails from Brittany.
