Be at Crossroads at Big Creek on Oct. 20, 4:30-7 pm, for Bread Pudding & Bonfire Night – a program to celebrate the preserve and those who nurture it.
The evening will begin with a 20-minute hike from the Collins Learning Center, 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, to the Astronomy Campus to highlight the year’s restoration efforts. The hike will end with a roaring bonfire, hot apple cider, mulled wine and Bridge Up Roofed Goat Red fall amber. A boxed dinner will include savory bread pudding, an autumn salad and a s’mores-inspired torte.
At the end of the evening, participants will plant the 4,000th native plant of the year to celebrate all the work done in 2021. A luminary-lit walk and full moon will return participants to their vehicle. Dress warmly for this all-outdoors event.Tickets are $30; registration is required by Oct. 15.
