Celebrate Earth Day with a Picnic for the Planet

Everyone is invited to celebrate Earth Day on April 21 from 9 am – 1 pm at the Mink River Estuary with a Picnic for the Planet, hosted by The Nature Conservancy.

The Nature Conservancy is asking attendees to help plant trees to restore the forests at this beautiful preserve on Mink River, which provides habitat for more than 200 bird species. After the work is done, guests will enjoy a picnic lunch while basking in the glow of a job well done.

Launched in 2011, Picnic for the Planet nurtures our connection to the planet and the food it provides. Picnic for the Planet is part of The Nature Conservancy’s All Hands on Earth campaign which aims to build an active, global community for the environment and provide everyday ways for people to get involved in creating a healthier earth.

To participate in the fun and honor the Earth, please RSVP to Mary at 920.743.8695 by April 18. For more information visit http://www.nature.org/earthday.
