The Episcopal Churches of Christ the King in Sturgeon Bay, Holy Nativity in Jacksonport and St. Luke’s of Sister Bay invite the community to celebrate the Festival of Advent Lessons and Carols at the historic church of the Holy Nativity in Jacksonport on Dec. 2, 4 pm.
First held at King’s College in Cambridge, England, in 1880, the service was reinstituted after World War I ended in 1918. It foretells the coming birth of Jesus through Old Testament readings, congregational hymns, and anthems to be sung by the choirs of the churches and The New Day Singers.
All are invited to share in the service at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, 3434 Cty V, Jacksonport. A reception will follow the program in Jameson Hall.
