Celebrate Mother’s Day with Small Forest

Local progressive folk band Small Forest will perform at The Cookery on May 9 from 5 – 8pm in celebration of Mother’s Day weekend. Featuring the mother/daughter songwriting team of Jeanne Kuhns and Marybeth Mattson, Small Forest shares a view of the world in song through the eyes and hearts of two generations of women. With acoustic guitars, djembe and Pat Palmer on bass, the trio plays upbeat, soulful and lyrically engaging songs, weaving their melodies and harmonies seamlessly. They are currently working on their first CD and will perform a sampling of new songs from the album.

The music will be in The Cookery’s wine bar where the full dinner menu will be available. There is no cover charge.
