Celebrate National Arbor Day at Crossroads

Crossroads at Big Creek will celebrate National Arbor Day (April 26) with activities focused on safe lawns. Throughout the day, the Collins Learning Center will host an array of Safe Lawn activities capped off with a public lecture at 7 pm by Paul Tukey. Tukey is a journalist, author, filmmaker, TV host, activist and award-winning public speaker widely recognized as North America’s leading advocate for landscape sustainability and toxic pesticide reduction strategies.

On April 28, Crossroads will belatedly celebrate Arbor Day with a tree hike at 1 pm and “The Value of Trees” lecture at 2:30 pm. Both events are free and open to the public.

Running Green for Crossroads is also coming. This year, Running Green for Crossroads, Door County’s first and only trail run will welcomes all runners and walkers on June 22. For registration information visit http://www.crossroadsrun.org.
