Celebrate Spring at Crossroads at Big Creek

Join the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society (DPAS) on April 6, 7 pm, at the Stonecipher Astronomy Center to look for star clusters, the Orion Nebula and galaxies in the constellation of Leo. If it’s cloudy, DPAS members will present an indoor program.

On April 8, 6:30 pm, join the Friends of Crossroads as they plan for Earth Day, spring field trips, planting gardens and more.

The Door County Master Gardeners Association will host a lecture on April 9, 7 pm, in the Collins Learning Center. Mark Konlock, director of horticulture at the Green Bay Botanical Garden, will present “Bulbalicious: Adding Spring Blooming Bulbs to Your Garden” to share how to combine bulbs with perennials, trees and shrubs to add spring pops of color.

The Wild Ones will discuss insects – why we need them and how to attract them to our yards – on April 11, 7 pm, when Karen Newbern presents “Bugs are Our Buddies.”

The Collins Learning Center, 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, is open 2-4 pm daily and during scheduled events.
