Celebrate Water and Crossroads at Big Creek Combine for Week of Fun Events

Crossroads at Big Creek joins with the Celebrate Water Door County initiative this week with many of the school and group programs featuring water. On Sunday, the Girl Scouts hold their Bridging Ceremony, crossing one of Crossroads five bridges during the nature hikes that follow the creek.

Join members of the Door Peninsula Astronomical Center to explore the night sky on May 19 at the Astronomy Center. Viewing Nights are free and open to the public.

Take a gentle ramble and follow the new trails that skirt Big Creek on the May 20 nature walk. Look for birds and wildflowers. The hike starts at 1 pm and is suitable for all ages. Hikers meet at the Collins Learning Center.

All are welcome to join the Door County Beekeepers Club at their next meeting on May 22 at 6:30 pm. The featured program is “Gentle Bees/Gentle Handling.” The meeting is held in Lecture Hall of the Collins Learning Center.

Crossroads at Big Creek is a donor supported education center with three preserves. The Collins Learning Center, located at 2041 Michigan Street in Sturgeon Bay, is open 2-4 pm daily and during scheduled events.
