Cellist Plays at Belgian Heritage Center

The Belgian Heritage Center will present cellist, singer and composer Helen Gillet in concert Nov. 20, 4 pm.

Gillet grew up in Singapore, Chicago and Wisconsin before moving to New Orleans in 2002. She’s known for her eclectic palette of avant-garde jazz, French chansons, funk and alt-rock, as well as her Bohemian flair similar to The Velvet Underground. Gillet sings in English, French and Walloon.
