‘Change of Wind’ Opens Dec. 6 at James May North Gallery

James May North will present Change of Wind – a group exhibition featuring Monika Meler, Heather Macali, Juan Alberto Negroni and Nichole Gronvold Roller – beginning Dec. 6 and running through Jan. 25. The show is free and open to the public. Join the artists for the opening reception Dec. 6, 5:30-8 pm, at James May North, 219 State St. in Algoma.

Meler is the director of studio art programs at the University of Saint Francis and has exhibited extensively in group, juried and solo shows. Macali is a contemporary artist who worked in fashion as a print/pattern designer and is now an artist in Detroit and a professor at Wayne State University.

Negroni has three degrees in studio arts, art history and museum studies, and printmaking. He’s participated in multiple group shows and has been featured in ArtPulse, El Nuevo Dia and PATRON Magazine. Roller takes pleasure in constructing imaginary spaces – specifically, an ambiguous space that possesses an unpredictable gravity or no gravity at all.
