Charlotte Lukes Honored with Tree Planting

Sevastopol Schools honored local nature expert Charlotte Lukes with a tree-planting ceremony. Mike Madden and Joel Schauske helped to coordinate this yearly event, during which each attendee – including all the students who attended – received a river birch tree to plant.

Past honorees include Lukes’ late husband, Roy Lukes; Emma Toft; Mike Madden; and Carl Scholz, who was Sevastopol’s superintendent for many years
