Check Out Halloween Events Throughout Door County

Enjoy Halloween weekend by participating in the following activities, parties, and events. For contact information and venue locations, view the events calendar at the end of this section.

Friday, October 31 Events

Library Activities

9:30 am. Forestville Library – Hear mildly spooky stories, participate in craft activities and enjoy ‘frightening’ treats.

9 am – 5 pm. Sturgeon Bay Library – Daylong activities include Halloween bingo and sugar skull decorating. From 2 to 3 pm, stories will be read in Spanish and English.

Halloween Fun

10 am – 2 pm. Soil Witch Welcomes Halloween – Meet the Soil Witch and her magic shovel, Clyde. Learn about invasive earthworms and make dirt pudding at the Nature Center at the Peninsula State Park.

11 am and 2 pm. Family Program – Learn about bats at 11 am and owls at 2 pm, including hands-on activities at the Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay. Free.

Parties

5:30 – 7:30 pm. Baileys Harbor Town Hall – Participate in Baileys Harbor Town Hall’s annual Halloween party.

6 – 8 pm. Sister Bay Lions Club Halloween Party – Enjoy games and prizes at the Sister Bay Fire Station.

Evening. Halloween Party – Mike’s Port Pub in Jacksonport hosts a party to enjoy the holiday. Best costume receives a $25 dollar gift certificate.

9 pm. Costume Party – Come in costume and celebrate Halloween at Casey’s Inn Supper Club in Egg Harbor. Costume contest begins at Midnight. First prize receives $100, second prize receives a $50 Casey’s gift certificate, and third prize receives a $25 Casey’s gift certificate.

Live Music

7 – 9 pm. Jeanne Kuhns, Tommy Burroughs, Lynn Gudmundsen and Patrick Palmer – Local musicians perform folk, blues, and bluegrass at Joe Jo’s Pizza and Gelato in Ephraim.

7:30 pm and 10:30 pm. pat mAcdonald and melaniejane – Nationally-renowned musicians perform for all ages at Cherry Lanes in Sturgeon Bay at 7:30 pm, and then at 10:30 pm they will perform for a 21+ audience. $5

8:30 pm. Bacchus Lotus – Enjoy live music, a costume contest, food and drink specials at the Stone Harbor Restaurant and Pub in Sturgeon Bay.

10 pm. Chris Aaron – Come in costume and win prizes at Husby’s in Sister Bay.

Saturday, November 1 Events

Halloween Fun

4 – 6 pm.Scary’ Poetry Reading – Henry Timm and Chris Anderson read at the Board Room at Liberty Square. Come in costume and receive a complimentary glass of wine.

7 – 10 pm. White Star Church – Tour the haunted Brussels church, participate in a Day of the Dead séance, and enjoy refreshments. (Costumes optional).

Live Music

10 pm – 2 am. Adam Mackintosh and Toivo – Come in costume and enjoy live music at the Bayside in Fish Creek. Adam Mackintosh performs from 10 pm – midnight. Toivo performs from midnight – 2 am. $5 cover charge.

10:30 pm. Reason for Leaving and Jose and the Sublimes – Enjoy live music and a post-Halloween party at Cherry Lanes in Sturgeon Bay. Dress in heaven or hell-themed costumes; the best themed costumes win prizes. $3.

Halloween Fun

6 pm. Ghost Trolley Tour – Visit scary Door County locations and hear tales of sunken ships and haunted lighthouses. Departs from Orchard Country Winery. $16 – $21.

7 – 10 pm. Haunted House – Tour a haunted house at the Door County Fair Grounds in Sturgeon Bay. $7 adults.

7 – 10 pm. Haunted Mansion – Tour a haunted mansion, trek a haunted trail, and travel on a haunted bus ride at Quietwoods South Campground in Brussels. $9. From 6 – 7 pm, a milder mansion will be available for children.
