Checks Changing Hands

(Left to right) Bill Forry, representing Amvets Post 51 of Sturgeon Bay, presents a check for $630 to Chairman Joe Heilman of the Door County Veterans Service Council. The proceeds were donated by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to help offset expenses from the Armed Forces Day Breakfast.

The Town of Sevastopol Emergency Medical Responders (E.M.R) will now be even closer to reaching their fundraising goals for the purchase of 16 new defibrillators thanks to the support of local farmer, Charles Stoeger, and America’s Farmers Grow Communities. The Sevastopol First Responders were presented $5,000 in total.

Sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, Grow Communities provides farmers in eligible counties the chance to win a donation for a local nonprofit organization of their choice.
