Cherries & Croissants

On July 23 at 9:30 am, Savory Spoon Cooking School will teach a class focused on cherries. Lisa Seaquist from Seaquist Canning Co. will teach attendees how to make cherry jam, which will be followed by a trip to the Seaquist Orchards Processing Plant to see how cherries are pitted and processed, then to Seaquist Orchard’s Canning Kitchen to see how they make thousands of jars each year. Participants will be able to bring home a jar of Door County Cherry Jam. The class is $55/person.

Attendance for the tours is not mandatory and students can leave once the class is over at noon. With the addition of the tours, the finish time will be 2 – 2:30 pm. Those participating in the tours will be provided a light lunch at Seaquist’s.

On July 26, Rachel Lohman, the owner of Drink Coffee, will teach a class on the art of making French croissants. For more information or to register, visit savoryspoon.com or call 920.854.6600.
