Cherry Fest in Jacksonport a Great Success

Sisters Elizabeth and Rachel from Appleton enjoy the tasty cherry Kolaches at the Jacksonport Historical Society’s (JHS) Cherry Fest, which took place this year on Saturday, August 1. What began as a rainy morning turned into a great afternoon of food, live music, historical demonstrations by the Jacksonport Historical Society, and more. All money raised at Cherry Fest goes to the JHS to help develop the museum property located on the south end of Jacksonport – a museum that has been the goal since the inception of the group.

Next year’s Cherry Fest is set for August 7, 2010, so mark your calendars!
