Cherry Festival & Sale at Sister Bay Moravian

Sister Bay Moravian Church’s Cherry Festival & Sale takes place on July 16. Brats, hot dogs, desserts and beverages can be purchased from 11 am – 2 pm. Every imaginable cherry dessert and other bakery items will be on sale, along with a silent auction featuring imaginative gift baskets. A highlight of the sale is the rag rugs.

Six decades ago, this event was the Strawberry Festival. With the popularity of Door County’s Montmorency cherries, the church renamed it the Cherry Festival in the 1960s. For the past 20 years, Seaquist Orchards in Sister Bay has donated the cherries each year for the festival. Sister Bay Moravian Church is located at 10924 Old Stage Road in Sister Bay.
