Cherry Season at Jacksonport Farmers Market

The Jacksonport Farmers Market is held every Tuesday morning at Lakeside Park from 9 am to 1 pm. Lakeside Park is located in Jacksonport on the Lake Michigan side of the peninsula at the corner of Hwy 57 and County V. Many area vendors provide a wide variety of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, eggs, bakery, jams and jellies, honey and handcrafted gifts and products. It’s also cherry season, so come for the buckets of cherries and the baked cherry treats. Sweet corn is also coming in soon. Mary Geitner from Mr. G’s Logan Creek Grille is providing brats, soda and snacks at the market.

There’s also live music this August at the Jacksonport Farmers Market. Marybeth Mattson will play on many of the Tuesdays in August. Birch Creek will be featured Aug 8, and Jerry Voelker will play Aug. 15.

Members of the Arachne Spinners Guild will be on hand to demonstrate their spinning skills Aug. 15. Visit the market and enjoy watching these people display their spinning skills.
