Cherryland Open Results

Former University of Wisconsin – Green Bay golfer Austin Ehlenfeldt won the Professional Division at the 55th Annual Cherryland Open held at Alpine Golf Course. Ehlenfeldt, who recently turned professional in August, shot a two-day score of 132 (67, 65) to pocket the $500 winner’s check.

Jason Hill and Adam Steinhofer tied for second, shooting a two-day total of 141.

Gary Shastal won the Senior Professional Division shooting 145 (73, 72). Randy Myer came in second place with a 150 total (74, 76).

Bob Pyle won the Amateur Open in a playoff over Steve Johnson. Pyle shot rounds of 68, 66 while Johnson went 67, 67. Bob Gregorski came in a distant third at 141 (71, 70).

In the Men’s Handicap Division, Dave Eklund, playing off of a 10 handicap, shot a net total of 140 (68, 72) to nip Jed Olson by one shot, who was playing off of a two handicap.

In the Senior Handicap Division, Gordy Henriksen, playing off of a 10 handicap, shot a two-day net total of 143 (72, 71) to win by two shots over Dale Mc Dugle.

In the Women’s Divison, Sue Slater edged Kathy Algiers by one shot. Slater, playing off of an eight handicap, shot net rounds of 76, 76.

In the Senior Amateur Open, Gregg Thatcher shot rounds of 68, 78 to beat Ron Cosler by two shots.
