Cheryl Berka Honored at 1st Quarter DAISY Awards

Ministry Home Care – Home Health in Sturgeon Bay honored Cheryl Berka, RN, with the 1st Quarter DAISY Award during a recent DAISY Award ceremony. Recipients are selected quarterly, based on their clinical expertise and demonstration of extraordinary compassionate care. The winners receive a certificate, a pin, and a hand-carved sculpture called “A Healer’s Touch,” created by artists of the Shona Tribe in Africa.

Sheila Horner from Sturgeon Bay was also nominated for the award along with 10 other RNs.

The DAISY Award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day.

To submit a nomination for extraordinary nursing care, fill out a nomination form located at ministryhomecare.org, then drop it off at any Ministry Home Care/Affinity Visiting Nurses agency’s front desk. Nominations are due May 31, 2017 for the 2nd Quarter DAISY Award Honoree.
