Children’s Book Combines Door County Talent

Goobadabers, a new children’s book written by Door County resident Gregg E. Powell and illustrated by former Door County resident Corinne Lea, is now available from Publish America.

The story centers on a Grandpa’s bedtime story, recounting the tale of his discovery of lovable and mischievous woodland creatures called Goobadabers.

Powell received his education at Northwestern University. He traveled the world as COO of an international manufacturing firm. While away, he would spend hours thinking of stories to share with his children upon his return. Currently, he resides in Door County with his wife of 53 years.

Lea was born and raised in Wisconsin. She lived in Door County for the past 12 years, and currently resides in Madison, where she works as an artist and gardener. This is her first book.
