Children’s Center Establishes Scholarship for Families with Infants

A family that has long supported Northern Door Children’s Center (NDCC) has established a scholarship fund specifically for families with infants. The family named it the New Infant Assistance (NIA) Fund in honor of its beloved dog, Nia, who died recently.

The donors were looking for a new way to help NDCC students and families, and when Executive Director Cindy Trinkner-Peot mentioned the baby boom that the center is experiencing, the NIA Scholarship Fund was born. During the week of Feb. 11-15, every family with an infant attending NDCC had tuition paid by the NIA Scholarship Fund.
